In many parts of the world, charities run thrift stores as a way to raise money for their cause. As for those of us who enjoy “thrifting” – the act of buying cheap clothing and household items from thrift stores – we know it’s not just about saving money, but giving to charity AND it’s environmentally friendly.
But then, there are also fun deals to be had. Even spectacular. There have been a number of stories about art or jewelry that someone found second hand, and it turned out to be worth big bucks.
